MOU with The University of Sharjah

The University of Sharjah signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fakeeh University Hospital. Prof. Qutayba Hamid, Vice Chancellor for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences and Dean of the College of Medicine, signed the MoU along with Dr. Fatih Mehmet Gul, CEO of Fakeeh University Hospital.

The MoU aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in academic education, exchange of scientific and medical expertise, and practical training for students at the College of Medicine. As well as cooperation in scientific research that contributes to social and economic development and the provision of health care to the community.

The MoU stipulates work on improving the quality of medical services; supervising research in scientific, clinical, and applied fields conducted by faculty and students at the University of Sharjah; and contributing to designing academic programs. This in addition to contributing to professional development and continuing medical education to achieve international standards. The agreement also stipulates building common relationships with academic institutions to achieve goals and provide services to patients, students, and workers in the field of health services.

Prof. Qutayba Hamid expressed his happiness with this cooperation noting that it is in line with the strategic plan of the University of Sharjah, not only in academic cooperation and student training, but also in clinical research and the availability of educational materials.

For his part, Dr. Fatih Mehmet Gul praised this cooperation with the University of Sharjah and the various experiences in it at the local and global level, adding he is looking forward to gaining experiences through academic courses, scientific research and educational activities.
