BRIEF PROFILE
Dr. Shareef Tholoor has over 20 years of clinical experience including over 15 years in Gastroenterology in the UK and UAE. Prior to moving to UAE, he worked at the prestigious St Mark's Hospital, London, a WHO recognized 'world center of excellence' in Gastroenterology. Dr Shareef moved to UAE in 2016 and has been working with Mediclinic group of hospitals and Mediclinic Dubal Mall, where he was the Head of Gastroenterology and Hepatology services.
Dr. Shareef is proficient in treating all common gastrointestinal disorders. He is also an expert gastrointestinal endoscopist skilled at various gastrointestinal procedures including upper GI endoscopy (gastroscopy), lower GI endoscopy (ileoscopy, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy), enteroscopy, anoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, esophageal pH studies and transient elastography (Fibroscan) among others.
Dr. Shareef has regularly presented and published at international meetings and conferences and has over 10 peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals.
In addition to applying his clinical expertise, Dr Shareef believes in taking a holistic approach when treating his patients taking into consideration, their diet, lifestyle and psycho-social factors.
