Dr. Derk W. Krieger is a well-known neurologist with more than 30 years of experience working across geographies like Switzerland, Denmark, Ohio, and UAE. He has been a Professor of Neurology and also the Chairman of Cerebrovascular Diseases at institutes of repute.
His main areas of research involve acute stroke care and neurocritical care. Neuroimmunology, headache disorders, and dizziness are also major interests in his practice. He has been involved in groundbreaking development of the infrastructure to implement novel therapies for stroke in routine patient care, as also in implantable loop recording and atrial appendage occlusion for stroke prevention.
Additionally, Dr. Krieger has been in leadership positions in the field of neurosciences since 2008. He remains active in research and teaching with more than 200 peer reviewed publications.
