Types of lung cancer

There are mainly two types of lung cancer:

• Small cell lung cancer, which generally affects heavy smokers and is also less common than non-small cell lung cancer.
• Non-small cell lung cancer is a term used for all other types of lung cancers. It includes large cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
