In line with its stated strategic objective of expanding the network of partner universities, Fakeeh University Hospital (FUH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) to promote academic exchange, clinical training, and collaboration in healthcare education and research. The MoU was signed between both the entities at the MBRU campus on 16th September 2019, represented by Dr. Mazen Fakeeh – Fakeeh Group Chairman and Dr. Amer Ahmad Sharif – Vice-Chancellor of MBRU.
Under the terms of the MoU, both organizations will work in areas of mutual interest that aims to develop academic cooperation through clinical training of the college’s students, organizing symposia, conferences, and workshops, and benefit from the continuing professional development programs held by MBRU.
The agreement will also extend to developing a relationship between Fakeeh College of Medical Sciences in the Jeddah and the MBRU through exchange of visiting students and faculty members, and joint research that would improve the educational process between the two parties.
Speaking on occasion, Dr. Mazen Fakeeh – Fakeeh Group Chairman said: “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the leadership of MBRU for their gracious hospitality extended to me and my colleagues from Fakeeh Care. Attending the white coat ceremony at MBRU made us see first-hand the level of commitment, nurturing, and dedication given to the students and their learning process by the leaders and faculty of the esteemed MBRU.
We were also honored to have signed an affiliation agreement between Fakeeh university hospital (FUH)and MBRU. This agreement shall herald a partnership between the two entities aiming at enhancing the undergraduate and postgraduate training of students and residents by leveraging Fakeeh Care academic and clinical resources. It shall also create new venues for research and clinical collaboration. We look forward to a mutually rewarding partnership”
